I feel what you are saying about Paris. I’m actually thinking about moving to Paris and or buying property there so that I can live there part time so I’m sure leaving Paris would be the most awful thing to do. Either way though the movie was so good. Much better than Cars or other Pixar films. Actually I only went to see it because I love food so much and I especially love PARIS!

I did think of you when I saw Guy Savoy’s name in the credits! And also when the movie mentioned the star ratings of the restaurant. 😀
It’s somewhat satisfying to know you, with your experiences and such in Paris, have good things to say about the authenticity.

Hande – I just had to check out your blog to see what you were talking about! Love your site and all the pictures. I had no idea that Byaldi was the original ratatouille. If I told you how they make it in the movie it would ruin the ending for you. But once the movie comes out, I’m going to try and recreate it.

Hi Ms. Glaze, how do you cook the Byaldi in the movie? I made the turkish original (you can have a look at it in my blog), do you know anything about it and how it came to France? It would be interesting to compare the Turkish version with the French!

Haven’t seen this yet but wanna! Did you hear that while Savoy is in the French version, Thomas Keller makes an appearance in the US one and Faren Audria (however you spell his name) in in the Spanish one ….

Oh, I’m so excited to hear more about this! I used to keep closer track of the Pixar films (I adored Monsters Inc. the most I think) but the last one, Cars, I didn’t even see and it’s just been some time since I got back into animation again. And after reading what you had to say about Ratatouille here, you piqued my curiosity — now I can’t wait to see it!
And the more you share, the more excited I get… Thanks for telling us about the preview!

I saw this last night too, and noted Guy Savoy’s name in the credits.
I saw it in Pixar’s screening room here in the SF Bay Area; probably the second best place in the workd to see it — the best is in Paris, of course!
And the film itself, c’est a tomber!
